UNITED AGAINST RACISM

Despite all the modernity experienced by societies today unfortunately is still common to find cases of prejudice and discrimination because of race differences. In theories of law and practices of everyday life, racism is an attitude that must be abolished, but even today, many people do not know what is. So it is good to clarify some doubts about what racism is. According to Wikipedia, racism is the trend of thought, or thinking that it attaches great importance to the notion of the existence of separate human races and above each other. Where there is a belief that some individuals and the relationship between inherited physical characteristics, and certain traits of character and intelligence, or cultural, are superior to others. Racism is not a scientific theory but a set of preconceived opinions where the main function is to enhance the biological differences between human beings, which some believe to be superior to others according to their racial matrix. The belief of the existence of superior and inferior races has often served to justify slavery, the domain of some people by others, and the genocides that have occurred throughout human history.

GLOBAL WARMING IS A SERIOUS THING .

Global warming is an expression often found in texts and articles on current affairs or environment, the term refers to the temperature increase that has affected Brazil and the world. The occurrence of this fact is related to several factors that together cause a "domino effect", some being directly or indirectly linked to this phenomenon can endangered by life on Earth.Main factors:- Burning of fossil fuels: responsible for the emission of CO2 and other gases that contribute to the greenhouse effect.- Fires: In addition to reducing the extent of existing green area are still capable of releasing a high rate of atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2)- Deforestation: green areas also decrease, causing the absorption of CO2 by plants decreases, causing an accumulation of gas in the atmosphere (especially in large urban centers).- Agriculture: Increasing agricultural production is a major reason for the fires and / or clearing of green areas, both often made indiscriminately.- Expansion technology: With easy access to product luxury once considered in the case of the car (the main source of CO2), for example, the technology has become a rogue for the environment. These and many other causes may also be related to the occurrence of global warming, but all lead to the same result: the overheating of the planet. Heating can bring sudden changes in living conditions on the planet, especially in relation to humans. Examples we can point to some consequences such as:- Melting glaciers.- Commitment to the water supply in certain areas.- Reduction in agriculture- Increased hunger and poverty- Deaths from malnutrition- Increased incidence of diseases like dengue and malaria, leading to increase in the number of deaths.- Disappearance of nations- Increase in sea level- Increased occurrence of natural phenomena (storms, tornadoes, earthquakes)- Disappearance of diverse forms of life- Transformation of green areas (such as forests) in the cerrado, some cases even resulting in the emergence of new deserts.- Possible increase erosion in coastal cities (due to increased sea level).- Extinction of territories and nations, such as islands and coastal cities. The main evidence of this phenomenon are the temperature measurements that have been obtained and evaluated for years, where the largest increases occurred in the periods 1910 to 1945 and from 1976 to 2000, although the warming has not been globally uniform. You can also refer to events observed frequently, as the remarkable increase in rainfall and natural phenomena such as tornadoes and earthquakes in areas where before there were common.

ENDANGERED SPECIES

Extinction biology and ecology is the total disappearance of species, subspecies or species groups.
The time of termination is usually considered to be the death of the last individual species. In sexually reproducing species, extinction of a species is usually inevitable when there is only one individual of the species left, or only individuals of the same sex. Extinction is not an unusual event in geological time - species are created by speciation, and disappear with extinction.Although it is now an accepted fact, the idea of the occurrence of extinctions during the historical trajectory of life on Earth, only membership received after disclosure of the work of Georges Cuvier. The French naturalist to formulate the laws of comparative anatomy enabled paleontological reconstructions of organisms that were known only in fossil form and had no corresponding alive today, or extinct.Extinction is a question of geographical scale. The local extinction is the extinction of a population in a given region and not necessarily of all kinds. This, in biogeography, is an important factor in shaping the geographical distribution of species. Vicariance events and climate change, for example, can lead to local extinction of populations and thus set the distribution patterns of species.Currently many environmentalists and governments are concerned about the extinction of species due to human intervention. The causes of extinction include pollution, habitat destruction and introduction of new predators. Endangered species are species that are endangered. Extinct in the wild is a term used for species that exist only in captivity.Among the endangered species are:
in BrazilAccording to the latest data, IBAMA (Brazilian Institute of Environment and Natural Resources has a list of 395 names of endangered species (in this list are not fish and crustaceans). In the list of endangered species are animals such as:Jaguar (or jaguar)Alligator-of-crop-yellowSpix's MacawGolden Lion TamarinLion Tamarin Golden-faced among others ...

BULLYING

Bullying is a term used to describe acts of physical or psychological violence, intentional and repeated, practiced by an individual or group of individualscausing pain and anguish, performed within an unequal power relationship.

In 20% of cases people are both victims and aggressors in bullying, or at certain times perpetrate abuse, but are also victims of harassment by school class. In schools, the majority of bullying occurs out of sight of adults and most victims do not react or talk about the assault.

Bullying is divided into two categories: a) direct bullying, which is the mostcommon among male abusers and b) indirect bullying, which is the most common form among women and children, having as a social isolation of the victim. In general, the victim fears (a) offender (a) by reason of threats or even the achievement of violence, physical or sexual, or loss of livelihood.
People who witness bullying, the vast majority of students living with violence andsilence due to fear of becoming the "next victims" of the offender. At school, when there was not an effective intervention against bullying, the environment iscontaminated and students, without exception, are negatively affected, experiencing feelings of fear and anxiety.
Children or adolescents who suffer bullying can become adults with negative feelings and low self-esteem. They tend to get serious relationship problems, and may even collapse aggressive behavior. In extreme cases, the victim may attempt or commit suicide.

VIOLENCE

Violence is a behavior that intentionally causes harm or moral harassment to another person, living or damage to any objects. Such behavior can invade the autonomy, physical or psychological integrity and even the life of another. It is theexcessive use of force than is necessary or expected. The term derives from the Latin violence (which in turn the large, is any behavior or set of derived from vis, strength, vigor), force application, force, against anything.

Thus, violence is different from strength, which is usually next word in everydaylanguage and thought. While that means strength in its philosophical sense, energy or "firmness" of something, violence is characterized by the corrupt action, based on anger and impatience, which seeks to persuade or convince the other, simplyattacks.
There is graphic violence when there is disruption of social or moral standardsestablished in this regard: it is not an absolute concept, ranging from companies. For example, initiation rituals can be seen as violent by Western society, but not by the companies that practice.

DRUG TRADE

The drug trade has increasingly been sold or until hiding in the edible camelos.A main question is: to use drugs because they are for sale? ... Or they sell drugsbecause there is demand? ... The drug is a fatal trap that leads to a young person to morte.Imagine poor, poorly educated, living in a shantytown with no prospect ofgood jobs and eventually needs to pass. Imagine another young man, however rich, a resident of posh and normally has everything you want. It happened that one of them become drug dealer and the other become an addict. The drug addicts, killand destroy families, for people who consume this "trap"? It's easy to fight drugs, just reflect and concientizarem the son of the  great and consequenciasquepergigos drug. SAY NO TO DRUGS!

NATURAL DISASTERS

In the geological evolution of our planet Earth, our Earth's crust has undergone processes of adaptations and modifications to its geological and climatic conditions. The processes of our planet adjustments often cause natural disasters, which are caused by factors related to erosion, weathering, sendimentação, movement of tectonic plates, and other factors that may cause losses and biological materials. To better understand the subject we have listed some instances more recently recorded in our planet.Volcanoes and earthquakes - earthquakes occur due to collision and separation of the tectonic plates. Volcanoes that expel substances at high temperature within the earth, melting glaciers may exist in craters.Tsunamis - may be caused by undersea earthquakes, volcanic explosions or meteor in the sea.Falling meteors - In scientific papers, a meteor wiped out the dinosaurs 65 million years, are rocks that interspatial trajetam for space and can fall into Earth's atmosphere causing destruction of land, plant and lives.Climate Change - The Earth goes through periods of glacial and interglacial 20,000 years to 10,000 years, in which there is increase in sea level. Global warming, which occurs from the intensification of the natural phenomenon of the greenhouse effect by air pollution may accelerate the process of global warming causing imbalances and disasters such as the melting of glaciers.Whether by human interference or by the natural fit of the components of the planet, the resulting natural disasters in recent times has demanded of the rulers and societies of various countries, prevention policies and action relief to victims of regions hit by cyclones, earthquakes and climatic imbalances Regarding climate, humanity simply rethink their stance of civilization and economic growth in building a sustainable and equitable between man and nature.

DEFORESTATION

Destruction of native vegetation disproportionately, creatingimbalance.
The enormous biodiversity of the areas of woods and forests willhave disappeared along with the vegetation.

The clearing occurs in most cases, for commercial reasons (animal husbandry, agriculture, extraction of wood).

Deforestation began to start in the Middle Ages, when Europeansfelled forests to increase the area of land for agriculture. Later the devastation would be extended to the new world, when settlers were filled with the extraction of natural abundance.

With the development of industrial capitalism, led to increaseddeforestation. Today, the problem of deforestation is much higher indeveloping countries, but its consequences affect the global ecosystem.

Brazil has concentrated 30% of tropical forest areas of the earth. In 1988, s satellites showed that deforestation of the Amazon had already reached 12% of the region. The causes of drought, is due to deforestation.
